Twenty-five years of senior engineering leadership across automotive, rail, tooling, and consumer production — leading large and small teams, sharpening drawings, and getting parts to ship.
Tell me what you’re building. I’ll tell you, plainly, where the cost is hiding and how fast we can pull it out. The first review is a conversation, not a contract.
I read every message. Replies come back from a person, not a sequencer.
The questions that come up most. If yours isn’t here, the form below works.
A Fresh-Eyes Review is the most common starting point — usually 2–4 weeks of focused work on a single part, a single drawing package, or a single supplier decision. From there, scope grows naturally if there’s more to do.
Fixed-scope reviews are quoted as a fixed price. Longer engagements bill at a senior engineering rate, agreed in writing before any work starts. We don’t bill for the first conversation.
Reviews: 2–4 weeks. Casting redesigns through first article: 3–6 months. Full vehicle architectures: 6 months and up. We’ve delivered everything from a single-week tolerance audit to a multi-year rail program.
Yes, on request. Most clients send us their standard NDA before we get into specifics. We’ll sign mutual NDAs, one-way NDAs, or use a templated NDA we can send you.
Both. Most engineering work runs remote from Naperville. On-site time is reserved for foundry visits, supplier audits, first-article reviews, and the kickoff for larger programs. Greater Chicago is same-day; U.S.-wide travel as the program requires.
Yes — that’s the Fresh-Eyes Review’s sweet spot. Send us the drawings, the open issues, and what you’ve already tried. We’ll come back with where we’d resume and what we’d change.
Solidworks, Fusion 360, and Siemens UG NX — natively. No file translation roulette. We work in whatever your team is already shipping in.
Drop a few details below. A reply with first questions usually comes back within 24 hours — often the same day.
